Abstract

Online delivery of training has advantages, including increased accessibility, but also presents challenges, such as difficulty holding the attention of learners and getting them to engage with the content to the same level as they would with in-person training. I will discuss methods for increasing engagement in online training, drawing from empirical evidence and personal experience. As a real-world example, I will consider the multiple delivery methods used by a novice R course.
